CFA GRC, GRP, double DW Mandai’s Tequila (patched tabby)

CFA CH, GRP Mandai’s Red Bullet (red tabby)

CFA GRC, GRP Mandai’s Temptation (blue patched tabby)

CFA GRC, DW Mandai’s Flower Power (bluecream)

CFA GRC, DW Mandai’s Blue Diamond (blue tabby & white)

My first love were the Himalayans and with these blue-eyed beauties I started breeding nearly 40 years ago.

For many years I put my heart and soul in breeding Himmies and I bred some very beautiful and successful cats in seal-, tortie-, blue-, bluecream- and redpoint.

Until in the mid 80s those fascinating green-eyed shaded silvers and goldens started attracting me. For several years I was quite successful in breeding and showing these cats.

At the end of the 80s I thought I could do with ‘a bit more colour’ and so two very lovely ladies in cream smoke and patched tabby moved in. Nearly all my present breeding cats, mainly tabby varieties with and without white, descend from these two girls.

My most successful show cats are

CFA GRC, GRP, double DW Mandai’s Tequila (patched tabby)

CFA CH, GRP Mandai’s Red Bullet (red tabby)

CFA GRC, GRP Mandai’s Temptation (blue patched tabby)

CFA GRC, DW Mandai’s Flower Power (blue cream)

CFA GRC, DW Mandai’s Blue Diamond (blue tabby & white)

As you may have noticed I enjoy a little variety from time to time.

Since December 2009 a new boy has been living with us – a nice combination of silver, tabby, bicolour and easy-to-groom, as he is shorthair!

So nowadays, apart from the longhair Persians, also Exotic Shorthair kittens in various colours are born here at Mandai’s.

I prefer showing my cats to breeding as it is always very hard for me to part with my kitties and I am very picky with finding new homes for them where they are allowed to live as members of the family.
